Michigan Health Department focused more on communications, than scientific evidence of increased lead levels in Flint’s children [FOIA Emails Part II]

We have been getting requests to release the second set of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) emails we obtained via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. A few from this packet were profiled on NBC’s Nightly News and MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show earlier this evening. We may release our own analysis at a later stage but here are the emails for the public.

You can access the first 150+ page FOIA packet and our analysis of how “DHHS Hid Evidence of Health Harm Due to Lead Contaminated Water: Allowed False Public Assurances by MDEQ and Stonewalled Outside Researchers” here.
